Germany does not consider Bulgaria a risk region
Rules for passengers entering Germany in connection with coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19
When entering by land (by road or rail) for persons residing in the last 10 days before entering Germany only in Bulgaria, the obligation for electronic registration, submission of a negative test / certificate of full vaccination / certificate of recovery after coronavirus and quarantine. When traveling by plane, the obligation to present a negative test / certificate of full vaccination / certificate of recovery after a coronavirus remains. The registration in the electronic system is canceled.
Persons over 6 years of age who enter Germany from Bulgaria or a risk region by air and have not resided in a region with high morbidity or in a region with virus variants during the last 10 days must present a negative test for coronavirus; a certificate of full vaccination or a certificate of recovery from an infection. The document must be presented to the airline before departure.
A negative coronavirus test is required when entering from a risk region by land or sea; a certificate of full vaccination or a certificate of recovery from an infection. The document can be presented up to 48 hours after entering Germany.
No test is required for persons under 6 years of age.
